OPENING DAY!

DOORS OPEN / CHECK IN

It all begins here. Come check in, buy tickets at the door if you haven’t already bought them online and buy raffle tickets for the drawing on Saturday night.
Once you’ve checked in, you’re welcome to settle into your lodgings. Those who rented a cabin or tent will be assigned one, and if you’re pitching your own tent you’ll be shown where to do so!
4 PM
ICE BREAKERS & GAMES

Let’s get to know each other! Folks will be encouraged to gather in the tavern area to introduce themselves, play some boardgames, and we’ll wrap it up with a rousing game of two truths and a lie!
5 PM
NETWORKING MIXER

Once introductions are done, folks are encouraged to grab a beverage at the tavern and network with their fellow attendees. Share business cards, QR codes, socials — whatever you’ve got! So many talented people from all walks of life come to the festival, and who knows what amazing things can result from the connections we make this weekend!

Artisans from all over the area will be set up to show off their paintings, crafts, clothing, LARP supplies, and more! This is the official kick off of the Decolonize & Discover Festival! Our founders, Journee, Etienne, Zac, and Jes will say a few words to welcome everyone and set the tone for the weekend!

BADDIE’S GATE / MOVIE NIGHT

This ADULTS ONLY performance at the tavern features a talented lineup of drag and burlesque acts inspired by the aesthetics of Baldur’s Gate and general fantasy vibes. This year we embrace old favorites and welcome new performers for a night you won’t forget!
ALL AGES MOVIE NIGHT

For those too young for the draglesque show, we’ll have a family friendly movie playing at the barn!

FAE DANCE NIGHT

Come dressed to impress, because right after the draglesque performance we’re pumping up the music and opening up the dance floor for a night of rhythm, movement, and fun! Dance the night away to cap off the first day of the festival!

KEYNOTE SPEECH BY Sister Ima Miracle

This festival was created so that BIPOC, Queer, and Disabled folks could have a safe space to explore facets of nerdery that we’re not normally welcome to. Sister Ima Miracle (Chris Rhodes) of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will kick off off our morning with a message of community and action.

Energetic Protection for Gamers, Streamers & Cosplayers.

Dealing with racism, homophobia, and ablism is a daily struggle for so many of us. Join Lynsi Stevens for a discussion on how to protect your energy, promote healing, and be present in a world that wants to distract us from our important work.
12 PM
PANEL: CHARACTER CREATION

Too often we see the same types of stories over and over again in the media we consume. Learn from experienced creators of games, LARPs, books, and more in this panel, where they’ll discuss how to make unique and memorable characters that draw on experiences and inspiration from cultures all over the world.

LARP SPEED DATING

Want to see what LARPS in the area have to offer? We’ve invited several local LARPs to show off their games in a “speed dating event.” Check out a booth, ask questions, play a sample mod, and then switch to the next booth when the timer goes off! Maybe you’ll find your next game!
3 PM
D&D LIVE PLAY

Play Dungeons & Dragons in a brand new way! Gather in the tavern while Jes MC’s a custom-written adventure for the crowd. Volunteer to be one of the on-stage heroes or stay in the audience where you have the power to determine what happens next!
4 PM
KNIGHT FIGHTS

Join us outside in the field for REAL combat between the amazing fighters of The Knights Hall. Revel in the clashing of swords and axes against armor, cheer for your favorite fighter, and (if you’re lucky) you might get to hold some real knight equipment!

ACROBATIC PERFORMANCE BY STREET CIRQUE

Acrobat extraordinaire Lauren Elizabeth will wow us with a breathtaking performance.

Make sure you’ve purchased all the raffle tickets you can for your chance to win up to $500 worth of prizes! Raffle winners will be announced and then we’ll move right into our musical performance.
Jasmine Rivera is an award-winning singer-songwriter whose powerful, soulful voice has captivated the local music scene in New Hampshire for a decade. Her unconventional blend of folk-pop emotes melancholy in a maelstrom. In 2020 she won the Golden Pipes Award at the Granite State of Mind Music Awards and was nominated in 2018 as Singer-Songwriter of the Year for the New England Music Awards.

Our headliners for the night, gather round to listen to an incredible live performance by TROLL 2. They play to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. Boston’s premier feminist, antiracist, and antifascist folk band.

GOBLIN NIGHT CIRCUS (18+)

After hours the fun doesn’t stop. Join fellow night owls in the mod building for a secret gathering of creativity and camaraderie. Enjoy a safe space where folks try out new acts in a group of friends to support and cheer each other on.

STORYTELLING THROUGH FOOD: A PREMIUM DINING EXPERIENCE FEATURING CHEF SHY

Chef Shy will be creating a special, 5-course meal that will embody a personal story. Explore new horizons via your tastebuds and learn about the meaning behind each dish. (This is a separately ticketed event for advanced purchase only. Ticket sales end May 30th.)

Christina Nolan will speak about the harp and invite onlookers to try playing the gorgeous instrument (don’t worry, you can’t sound bad!).

WORKSHOP: RADICAL REST
& WORKSHOP: RADICAL MOVEMENT

First, get in touch with your inner self in a radical rest workshop that encourages self-care, listening to your body, and the work that is rest.
Then, join us for a radical movement workshop where we’ll get in touch with our bodies in an active way.
See how these two radical practices can be two sides of the same coin in your daily life!

GOBLIN HIGH TEA

Join us outside in the field for Goblin High Tea! Enjoy a “fancy” cup of warm tea and some snacks while we watch the goblins get up to trouble. Or join the players on the field against the goblins to whack them with bread and protect the eggs!

COSPLAY CONTEST

Come dressed to impress! We’ll be hosting a cosplay fashion show where you can strut your stuff for the audience. Judges will vote for their favorite, and the winners will get prizes!
